March 10th Blog Challenge: Daily Routine
I have a few different routines that I rotate through because we have a weird family schedule – my daughter spends every other week at her dad’s house, so my routine is different every other week. I’ll share a weekday that includes my daughter – how about that?
4:30am – Alarm goes off the first time
4:45am – Alarm goes off a second time – Hubby gets up and heads out the door in 7 minutes flat
– He gets home around 3:30pm and does all his “routine” stuff then.
5:00am – OK! I’m up! I’m up!
– Shower and all that girly stuff
5:30am – Wake up Marley
– Start drying my hair
5:40am – Get Marley OUT OF BED SLEEPY HEAD!!! Time for her shower.
– Finish drying my hair, applying make-up, and getting dressed
6:05am – Tell Marley to bust a move (hurry the heck up!)
– Take the dogs downstairs, put out their food, give them a treat, and let them out
6:10am – Marley makes her way downstairs and fixes her breakfast
6:15am – Grab lunches and head out the door
—> An hour or so commute to school, wherein Marley eats her breakfast and either naps or, if she’s really wide awake, sings and dances in the car.
7:20am – Drop Marley off at school and head to work
7:45am – Stop at Chick-Fil-A for a large sweet tea (I’m not a coffee drinker)
7:55am – Get to work
—> Work my fingers to the bone.
1:00pm – Lunch break. Hit the gym on a good day, blog on a normal day. (If only blogging burned calories…)
2:00-4:30pm – Work my fingers to the bone.
4:45pm – Pick Marley up from her dad’s house and head home.
—> CAR DANCE PARTY!!! WOOT WOOT!!! Seriously y’all. We shake our money makers the entire ride home. Cuz we rock.
5:50-6:00pm – Home sweet home
6:00-6:30pm – A little rest for the weary
6:30pm – Dinner prep
7:00pm – Dinner time with the fam
7:30pm – Clean up and pack lunches
7:45-8:45pm – Hang-out/family time, review homework, craft, catch up on Ghost Hunters with Marley…that sorta thing
8:45-9:00pm – Marley gets ready for bed then it’s Mommy/Marley time in her bed
9:00pm – Lights out for Marley
9:00-10:30pm – Hang-out with my man and/or work on blog, etc.
10:30-10:45pm – TIME FOR SLEEP! I’m exhausted!
Throw in there a day or two of horseback riding lessons for Marley, Thursday night Bible study for me, lacrosse practice on Fridays for Marley, and you have my not-so-routine daily routine.
