Today we are starting our second section of our Family Binders – House and Home. Insert the next tabbed divider into your binder and label it accordingly. In this section, you will keep up with your grocery list and meal plans, home maintenance, any projects you are working on, etc.
I have three printables for you today to start this section. You are receiving the following:
- House and Home Cover Page
- Grocery List
- Meal Planner
How to use them:
Since this is a new section of our Family Binder, we will insert the House and Home cover page into a page protector behind the second tabbed divider in our binder.
Now, there are a couple of things to think about here, so I’ll tell you what I’m doing, then you can decide how you want to use these documents yourself.
Meal Plan – This is my preferred method of making a grocery list. I plan my meals for the week, then use the list space on the right side of this document to make my grocery list. I take the entire sheet with me to the store and check off items as I put them in my cart. Once I get home, I put the meal plan on the fridge so I know what I’m preparing each day.
Grocery List – I am using my Grocery List printable as a list of staples or basics that I like to keep on hand. Rather than printing a new Grocery List each week, my list serves as more of a guide. After I make my meal plan, I write down on that sheet what I need for my meals. Then I can compare my Grocery List of basics to what I actually have on hand, and add items to my list that I might need to replenish.
Either way is fine. Choose what works for you – you may not need both of these printables, and that’s totally fine.
Here is what my binder looks like with these pages inserted:
