On Monday, I told you about some changes coming to Sweet Tea & Saving Grace. I mentioned that I’m turning this little piece of the internet into an encouraging resource for women in all walks of life. Well, I definitely can’t do this alone, so I’m bringing my friends along!
I want this blog to be more than a blog for you. I want you to feel comfortable coming here to find encouragement and inspiration through marriage, parenting, and life obstacles – to make you realize you’re not alone.
I want you to come here to find quick & easy meal ideas, things your kids will actually eat, desserts that will charm a crowd, and healthier recipes, too.
I want you to get inspired to update your home, build or create something wonderful, give amazing handmade gifts, and do it all on a budget.
I want you to get real-life fashion & beauty advice from real women who aren’t stick figures flaunting expensive clothing that’s out of our budgets.
I want you to get organized, at home and with your time, get ideas to spend more time with your family and your kids, whether they’re 5, 15, or 25, and photograph all those moments, too!
Women need women, y’all. It’s just the truth. So I’ve got my posse – my Sweet TeaM, as I’m lovingly referring to them, and I can’t wait for you to meet them!
I recently read “Giddy Up, Eunice”, by one of my favorite authors of all time, the ever-Southern and hysterically funny woman after God’s own heart, Sophie Hudson. (I’m not even kidding, I love this woman.)
Anyway, the book is all about relationships between women in the bible, and it’s awesome. I couldn’t help but relate some of the stories to this new season of Sweet Tea & Saving Grace. In that book, Sophie says:
We don’t have to cling to someone in the hopes they’ll stick around, because the Lord holds the threads of that friendship. He’ll weave them into something new and beautiful when it’s time.
Isn’t that perfect? God is weaving this whole new she-bang into something new and beautiful. Glad you’re here.
P.S. Be sure you’re following me on Facebook. I’ll be introducing you to each of these lovely ladies throughout the month of September.
