These BFF Photo Frame Ornaments are very adorable, and totally doable for anyone who can use a glue gun. My daughter actually came up with these and made them herself, for her and her best friend. Want to make your own? Follow along for the full how to!
Best Friends Photo Frame Ornaments
Here are the things you’ll need to make your own photo frame ornament:
- cardstock (we used a silver glitter)
- mini photo frames (from Michaels dollar section)
- peg doll ornaments (these are Merry Minis from Michaels)
- scrapbooking alphabet stickers
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
To start, take the stand part off the back of the frame.
Next, take the paper out of the frame and use it to cut the proper size insert from the cardstock.
Using the glue gun, adhere the mini peg doll ornaments to the frames. Once the glue dries, use the scrapbooking alphabet to add a little message to the frame. My daughter wrote BFF and the year on her frames.
The last step is to hot glue a loop on the back using twine so it can be hung on the tree.
I love how they turned out, don’t you? They make a really great keepsake for the kids, and they are easy to customize with names and colors. You could also use other little ornaments – many stores carry a large selection of ornaments for miniature trees that can be used.
Hope you love this project, and it inspires everyone to DIY some of their Christmas decor this year! See you again next month with another great project for y’all! In the meantime, if you want some more inspiration for Christmas ornaments, check out these ideas:
