On Monday, Marley made a breakthrough. In art class last year, some time around Thanksgiving 2010, she made this necklace. And it has not been off her neck since then. It’s become this ratty, dirty, yarn thing that I have come to hate, but she refused to take it off. I blame my hubby – he wears a leather necklace all the time, and only takes it off when it falls off on it’s own. But the leather doesn’t become gross and ratty like this yarn version…
Anyway, last weekend we went to the Yellow Daisy Festival and she created a really cute necklace, and wanted to wear it to school Monday. Fine, I told her. On one condition.
Well, she finally agreed, much to my delight! This necklace now graces our Project Life album. And she finally realized just how gross it had become.
She’s growing up, that sweet little girl of mine! 🙂
