Christmas morning can be a little crazy, especially if you have little ones who just might wake you up kinda early… The last thing you want to think about is cooking breakfast. So, I have a really easy, and really yummy, make-ahead breakfast casserole for you!
On Christmas Eve night, make this casserole and stick it in the fridge. Then, on Christmas morning while you and the family open presents from Santa, breakfast can be cooking in the oven, ready to eat when you’re ready!
Here’s what you need:
-
Crescent rolls
-
8 oz. diced/chopped ham
-
1/2 c. milk
-
6 eggs
-
1 c. shredded cheddar
-
1 c. shredded mozzarella
-
salt & pepper
First, roll out the crescent roll dough flat in the bottom of a 13×9 glass pan:
Sprinkle the ham all over:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 6 eggs…
…1/2 c. milk…
…a little sprinkle of salt & pepper:
(My daughter labeled our salt & pepper shakers) 🙂
Whisk it all together until mixed thoroughly:
Pour egg/milk mixture into the pan over the ham:
Top with about 1 cup each of shredded cheddar and shredded mozzarella (I like lots of cheese so I just grab handfuls and throw it on top):
That’s it for the prep work:
Cover with aluminum foil and pop in the fridge:
In the morning, preheat the oven to 350 degrees, remove foil, and bake for 25 minutes.
Then, EAT!
YUM! 🙂
Merry Christmas! See you tomorrow!
