Welcome to Day 6 of our 24 Days of Christmas special!
I’m a big fan of repurposing materials that I already have on hand, so I was really excited to find so many great tutorials for making ornaments out of cardstock! I would bet you have a lot of extra cardstock scraps laying around, so grab a few and check out these tutorials:
Modern Paper Ornaments on Curbly
These could be used for so many things – Christmas decor, obviously, but birthday party decor in party colors perhaps? I think so!
Sparkly Christmas Ornaments on Parents.com
These are super cute and super easy! Lots of color possibilities!
Pin & Cardstock Ornaments on My Domicile Style
These are so beautiful! Who knew you could make ornaments with 1″ circles!
Fancy Ornaments by Memory Makers
These are my favorite! They’re so fancy 🙂
Here’s my own tutorial for ya! I made larger ornaments so I can hang them from the ceiling:
First I picked out two pieces of cardstock:
I cut strips 1/2″ wide and 2 each in the following lengths – 9″, 8″, 7″, and 6″.
Then I punched holes in each end:
Take the 2 6″ pieces and stick them together with glue dots – this will be the center:
Pick coordinating ribbon and poke holes in the ends:
Use brads to put it all together
When both ends are attached, you have this cute little onion shape:
Here’s from the side – looks cute spinning from the ceiling:
There you have it! Day 6 in the books 🙂 Hope to see you tomorrow for more Christmas cheer!
