April Bible Reading Plan: In the Garden

The first place that man existed in the presence of God was a garden, and when Jesus died on the cross, His body was buried in a garden before He was resurrected. Throughout scripture, there are references to gardens, flowers, and birds. To kick off spring, spend a month walking in the garden with God with this free Bible reading plan, with optional workbook.

30-Day Bible Reading Plan: In the Garden

From Eden to Gethsemane, there are gardens throughout scripture, beautiful depictions of God’s Creation and His love for us. There is intimacy in the garden – God walked with Adam and Eve, Jesus prayed privately, and He was buried in the garden after His death.

In the April Bible Reading Plan, you will spend time in the garden with Jesus. You will be reminded of His love and mercy as He cares for the birds of the sky. You will be reminded of His promises of restoration after a season in the desert.

INTRODUCING THE L.I.G.H.T. METHOD

The In the Garden Bible Reading Plan Workbook will introduce you to a brand new Bible study method – L.I.G.H.T.

This is a method that I have created to help you dig deeper into your scriptures with ease. Here is a brief description of this method.

L – LITERAL

What does it say? This is where you will reiterate the scripture in your own words.

I – INTERPRETATION

What does it mean? This is where you will use the Holy Spirit first, then cross-references, footnotes, and commentaries to dig in to decipher the meaning of the verses.

G – GOD

What does this say about God? Everything in the Bible points back to God and Jesus. Ask yourself what the verses tell you about the character of God.

H – HEART CHANGE

The Bible is not a book of information, but a book of transformation. Write down what heart change should occur after reading the scriptures.

T – THANKSGIVING

End your Bible study time in prayer, giving thanks to God for His Word and the freedom to worship Him.

The In the Garden Bible Reading Plan + Workbook also contains two pages of Reflection questions at the end of the study, pulling the entire study together.
