I feel like a little kid anticipating my first trip to Disney World right now. This Friday, I’ll be hopping a flight to Ohio and spending three days at Cedar Point for Bloggy Conference 2013! And that’s not all – I get to spend those three days with my best bloggy friend Amy, from One Artsy Mama!! (We’re like sisters or something, soul mates…awesome twins. Seriously, it’s crazy.)
Since this is my first blog conference ever, I want to make sure I make a great first impression. Business cards are handed out like baseball cards to teenage boys, so I knew that would be the best way to leave a great, and lasting impression with everyone I meet!
I played around in Picmonkey for a while and came up with a few designs that I was kind of OK with, but they didn’t “pop”. I then reached out to one of my super cool friends, Lindsay (You might know her – Artsy Fartsy Mama? Yea. Thought so.) Did you know she does graphic design, too? I sent her the designs I had done, as well as my ideas for jazzing them up with a few goodies, and she came up with my final draft…
…pure awesomeness! Two-sided full-color business cards printed on heavy duty glossy cardstock. They are so gorgeous! I feel official now!
As beautiful as they are on their own, I still wanted to add a little extra something to them. Remember, I need to make an extra good impression at Bloggy Con ’13! I decided to add small white glassine bags to each card using coordinating washi tape, and include a few goodies in each bag.
When I saw this cute typewriter stamp on Etsy from rubbermoon art stamps co., I knew I had to have it. Using ink in the colors of my blog, I stamped 200 scalloped circles cut from cardstock.
Aren’t they so cute!?
In addition to the stamped scalloped circles, I also punched a lot of hearts out of double-sided scrapbook paper, and threw some buttons into the bags.
I stuffed 200 little bags with all those goodies, then attached them to my business cards using washi tape.
I absolutely love my business cards and can’t wait to hand them out!
Come back tomorrow and I’ll show you a peak into my suitcase to show you my outfits for the weekend!
{By the way, the glassine bags and washi tape came from Pretty Tape. Check ’em out!}
