This weekend, I finally got around to adding some summer flair to our front door and I am in love with the colors! Today I want to show you how simple it is to make a Paper Pinwheel Summer Wreath for yourself!
Would you believe I didn’t spend a penny to make this wreath? I used supplies I had on hand, so be sure to shop your stash when you craft. You never know what you might create!
Back in March, I made a Spring Wreath using this very same grapevine wreath. Using some colorful scrapbook paper that I had on hand (all of which is from different editions of Becky Higgins Project Life), I transformed that wreath into a fun Paper Pinwheel Wreath perfect for summer!
If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my Pinwheel Tutorial that I shared. In case you missed it, here it is again. (Be sure to follow me on Instagram @onetuffmother for more quick and easy craft tutorials!)
#1 – Cut a square of scrapbook paper.
#2 – Cut towards center from all 4 corners
#3 – Fold left side of each corner in towards the middle; secure with glue dot.
#4 – Voila! Pinwheel! Decorate your center however you like.
I made several pinwheels in various sizes.
I wrapped a little strip of burlap around part of the grapevine wreath, then used my hot glue gun to attach the pinwheels. I also added a little flair to a few of the pinwheels by adding glitter to the edges.
Here’s the finished wreath:
And a close-up of the pinwheels:
I’m in love! It’s such a happy wreath!
How do you decorate your home for summer?
