It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, friends! Today I’m joining a great group of bloggers to share some DIY ornament inspiration to help you craft a beautiful Christmas tree!
I combined my love of sparkle with my love of crafting to create DIY Sparkle Spool Ornaments.
I love crafting my own ornaments each year, and this year I decided to add some ornaments that show my love for crafting. I think these wooden spools do just that! They’re so easy, you could make a whole set and give as a gift to someone special.
The only thing I had to buy for this craft was the twine, because I love twine and it vanishes quickly at my house. To make your own, you just need some twine or other string, dangles, and spools, then some fun washi tape to decorate!
Thread the twine through the spool, then add the dangle.
Thread the twine back through the spool in the opposite direction to hold the dangle, then tie in a know to make a loop for hanging your ornament. Easy!
I used a combination of threads to add some variety. They look cute already, but I thought they needed a little dressing up!
I have gobs (literally gobs) of washi tape, so I picked a few that coordinated with my dangles. I just wrapped each piece around the spool and I was done!
So pretty! I love the glitter tape, don’t you?
I hope you’ll stop by and visit each of the blog’s participating in today’s Handmade Ornament Blog Hop! There is so much crafty inspiration to enjoy!
