*Whew*! I have been one busy little crafter lately! I’ve been working on our entryway and I’m almost finished. Today I want to show you one of the projects in our entryway, using an old piece of wood that I’ve had in my garage for over a year!
I’m a visual person, and I benefit from having a visual reminder to let me know what’s going on with our family on a day to day basis. I use my Erin Condren Life Planner to plan things out, but to keep a weekly reminder front and center, I created a Week-At-A-Glance Board for our entryway!
Let me just tell you, I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Let me show you what I did:
For this project I used the following supplies:
- Fiberboard (I cut pieces from a fiberboard book kit that was on sale at Michael’s)
- Clips
- Scrapbook paper
- Post-it Notes
- E6000 adhesive
- Wooden board
First, I cut my fiberboard into 6 pieces – one for each day of the week, but combining Saturday & Sunday into one.
I had enough of the blue quatrefoil scrapbook paper left over from my Wooden Tray Makeover to cover three of the six pieces of fiberboard. I chose a coordinating blue toile paper for the remaining three pieces.
To create the labels for the days of the week, I use manila shipping labels and rubber alpha stamps.
Monday through Friday plus “Weekend” for the labels.
I simply attached each label to the pieces of fiberboard using glue strips.
I had my hubby cut the old board down to size, then laid out my daily clipboards. I used E6000 adhesive to adhere the clips onto the wood.
All that was left to do was write out our to-do’s for the week on Post-it Notes and stick them on the appropriate day of the week!
Love it! I see it everyday as I gather my purse and keys and head out the front door. I love that I can slap a new Post-It note on every week and stay on top of our busy schedule.
How do you keep on top of things?
Stop by tomorrow when I share one more DIY project in our entryway!

Kirsten, I LOVE this idea…what a great weekly “to do” perpetual calender. You can even write phone number or addresses on your post-it notes and then just peel them off and take them with you when you are going to your appointment! 🙂
So cute!! I can see myself needing something like this in the near future 🙂 Pinning!!
what a smart idea to use post-its!
Thanks Marilyn! There are really tons of uses for something like this. You could even use it for a meal planner in the kitchen!
Thanks for the pin! 🙂
Thank you Sarah!

This is so creative, Kirsten! I’m always writing lists but having reminders right in front of my face would really help too- there’s just too much to remember lately! 🙂 Pinning!
What a cool idea! Maybe I will try and make one – got to finish some sewing projects first. I am pinning this so I remember.
This is such a great idea!! So thrilled you shared it at Work it Wednesday- I am sharing it today on my Facebook page!
