I recently learned how to make essential oil face serum, and I have to admit, not only is it easy to make and incredibly cost-efficient, it's dreamy on my skin! With only four simple ingredients - three of which are essential oils - I was able to make it in a matter of minutes. My skincare regimen just got a lot better!
How to Make Essential Oil Face Serum
I’m going to share more information in a moment about the benefits of using essential oils for skincare, but I personally get frustrated with blog posts that don’t get right to the point, so let’s go ahead and get the how-to out of the way!

Here’s a short explainer video to show you how to make essential oil face serum:
I have pretty dry skin, particularly in the summer months, and let me just tell you, this essential oil face serum is heavenly! I don’t need moisturizer, and it doesn’t cause my skin to be oily at all. My makeup goes on smoother, and my skin feels amazing! (It smells really nice, too!)
Benefits of Essential Oils for Skin
Essential oils have been around practically since the dawn of time. (Truly – they were mentioned several times in the Bible!)
Essential oils have a host of beneficial properties, but the primary reason I love them for skincare is this: they’re all natural.
Have you ever tried reading the ingredient list on skincare products? Most of the ingredients are impossible to pronounce!
But let’s talk specifically about the essential oils in this face serum: copaiba, lavender, and frankincense.
Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender essential oil is, first of all, the most popular essential oil on the market. It smells amazing, but it also boasts tons of skincare benefits. It helps keep your skin moisturized, improves the signs of aging, clears blemishes, and can even help remove makeup. It’s a workhorse of an essential oil!
Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense essential oil is one of the essential oils mentioned in the Bible. If was good enough to be gifted to Jesus at His birth, it’s good enough for me! It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth blemishes, and create a more radiant appearance.
Each of these essential oils on their own are great for your skin, but when combined in a face serum, they make a powerful addition to your skincare regimen!
Don’t stop at your face. I love to smooth this serum on my decolletage (I sleep on my stomach so my chest has begun to wrinkle a bit.) I also like to rub it into my hands, especially around my cuticles.
There are so many benefits to using essential oils in your daily life, and Young Living backs their oils with their Seed to Seal promise, ensuring every oil you use from Young Living is the purest form available.
