{Gift Idea} DIY Note Card Set

As I’m sure you know by now, I’m a big fan of homemade gifts and crafty goodness.  I recently made a Note Card Gift Set that I will be gifting to someone special, so I thought I’d share it with you!

Somehow I end up with random envelopes, so I decided to use these as a starting point for my note card set.  I gathered 10 envelopes in various colors, then found scrapbook paper to coordinate with them.

I also gathered white cardstock paper to use for each note card.

After determining the proper size I would need each note card to be, based on the size of my envelopes, I cut the scrapbook paper to fit snugly inside each envelope.

For my set, my note cards will be 5.5″ x 4.5″.

Now, obviously it would be a little difficult to write notes on the patterned scrapbook paper.  That’s where the white cardstock paper comes in.

I shaved an inch off of the original measurements, cutting the white cardstock down to 4.5″ x 3.5″ as my writing surface.

Now comes the fun part!  I wrangled a bunch of washi tape in coordinating colors and went to town on my note cards.

I am in love with the final product!  Each note card is different and unique and they come together to create a beautiful, colorful, and cohesive set of note cards.

I found a cute polka dot pen and tied it all up – envelopes, note cards, and pen with yellow twine.
And there you have it!  A super cute, easy, budget-friendly gift idea!  Fabulous!
