Medicine Cabinet Storage Ideas

If you’ve been around a while, y’all know I’m a sucker for some good organization, especially when it’s also pretty. 🙂 The medicine cabinet can be a big ol’ mess if you’re not careful. Ours is terrible! My husband now has a shopping list of wood to make one. It needs to fit in the bathroom, so no more than 10″ deep. It has to hold lots, so floor to ceiling. It needs doors because we have children.

This morning, I was compelled to begin a self-led

This morning, I was compelled to begin a self-led study of “grace” - what it is, what it means for us, how it is represented in scripture, and so forth.

In my research, I came across a sermon by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called “Man’s Sin and God’s Grace”. I read the entire thing and wept at the end. It was so incredibly simple yet powerful. I encourage you to read it - it’s linked in my bio.

While much of the sermon is worth sharing, this nugget stood out to me:

“The whole of life hinges on the ever flowing power and ever flowing stream of God’s grace. Grace is just that something that God gives us. It’s a gift that we don’t merit, that we don’t deserve, but which we so desperately need. That’s grace, and none of us could live without it.” - MLK, Jr.

We cannot live without God’s grace, yet it isn’t something we can earn or that we deserve.

Dr. King goes on to share how we as a country have gone the way of the prodigal son, but God says to simply “come home”. Where sin increases, so does God’s grace.

He closes with this prayer, which I’ll also close with:

“Oh God, our gracious heavenly Father, help us to see the meaning of this grace, and help us to realize that in our sinful lives there is some hope, there is a way out through Thy powerful and ever flowing grace. In the name and spirit of Jesus we pray. Amen.”

Just finished reading the entire Bible in a year!

I’ve wanted to read the Bible in its entirety for a long time, so on January 1, 2022, I started a one year reading plan.

Now, I’m horrible with resolutions, but I made this part of my morning routine. Some days I missed and had to catch up, but I finished reading the entire Bible in one year this morning!!

What a joy and privilege we have that we get to own and read a copy of God’s Word whenever we want! ❤️ I strongly encourage everyone to read the Bible in 2023!

My daughter, who is 20 and in college, told me rec

My daughter, who is 20 and in college, told me recently that she and her friends were discussing relationships and how all of their parents are divorced, which makes it difficult for them to believe in love.

Then she mentioned us. ❤️

She told her friends that, despite the fact that her dad and I got divorced when she was 3, I found my person in Mark and we’ve been happy together for nearly 15 years.

She said that our relationship gives her hope. We demonstrate what a loving marriage looks like and makes it not so scary to put your heart out there.

Needless to say, I cried when she said that. You never realize how much your kids are watching. I love that she sees the love we have for one another.

I love us. ❤️

I heard it’s National Cat Day so here’s my three! (Yes THREE)🐈🐈🐈

We went from a house full of dogs to a house full of ginger cats and their ONE shared brain cell 🤣

All three are sisters but from two different litters. All rescues, formerly feral but you’d never know it!

They’re the sweetest and most entertaining little crackheads ever and we love them dearly!
