Pacific Northwest Travel

Hey friends!  My mom and I spent an amazing week traveling through the Pacific Northwest recently, and I have gobs of pictures to share.  If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you have known about a really spectacular giveaway that’s been in the works, too, and I’m happy to say that today is the day!  I want to extend a HUGE thank-you to Epiphanie camera bags for providing me with my Brooklyn backpack to take along on my trip!  {Psssttt…be sure to read all the way to the end of this post, because you have a chance to win your own Epiphanie camera bag!!}

As some of you may have heard, our original plan was to travel to Ireland for a week, but because we fly on stand-by, and flights didn’t quite work out to our favor, we had to make a last-minute change of plans.  You can read all about it, and why I had peace about it, in this post.

So off we went to the Pacific Northwest!  Today, I’m going to share the Oregon portion of our trip, and I’ll share pictures from Washington next week.  {I have a ton of pictures.}

Mom and I flew into Portland, Oregon, just in time to find a hotel and crash for the night.  The next morning, we were up bright & early thanks to a three-hour time difference, so we decided to check out different areas of Portland.

First stop: Japanese Gardens & Rose Gardens

After the gardens, it was time for lunch!  I was really excited to be able to meet up with one of my sweet blog friends, Sarah from Repeat Crafter Me!

Lunch stop: Food trucks at Belmont & 43rd

After lunch, we did a little shopping along Belmont.  One of my favorite shops was Noun, “A person’s place for things”.  Isn’t that the cutest?!

Mom and I hopped back in the car and headed toward the coast.  After a couple hours, we found a place to stop for the night.

First night’s stop:  Cannon Beach, Oregon

The second day of our trip, we had a good breakfast at Pig N’ Pancake before getting back on the road.  Our travels took us along the coast with a brief stop to stretch our legs.

Rest stop:  Astoria, Oregon

We crossed the bridge into Washington late that afternoon and continued to Seattle, where we found a little hotel just outside the city and a Mexican restaurant that poured excellent margaritas!  We were worn out, and decided to save our Seattle visit for the next day.

Next week, I’ll share more pictures from the Washington portion of our trip, but for now, I think I know what you guys are ready for right?

It’s an Epiphanie camera bag GIVEAWAY!

I loved having my Epiphanie camera bag on our trip.  I was easily able to carry my camera gear, wallet, makeup bag, and any souvenirs I collected along the way.  My Brooklyn bag is roomy and stylish.  I had quite a few people comment on it, from visitors at Pike’s Market in Seattle to TSA agents at the airport!  Now YOU can win your own!!

  1. She’s the sweetest 🙂 Very genuine and beautiful, on the inside and out. I’m grateful to call her my friend. 🙂

  2. Wow! That bag is perfect for travel. I went to the beach over the weekend (the Oregon coast too!) and was so upset because I had no way to protect my nice new camera, this would have been so perfect!

  3. This would be awesome to win! I still have a generic canon bag for mine that is so awkward to carry.

  4. I would definitely pick the Ginger in caramel – it’s so cool! I love that it is synthetic leather – animal friendly is always chic!! I was just in Portland and Cannon Beach last month. I love the pictures you took! We went to the Rose Garden twice just so we could smell more of the roses 🙂

  5. Epiphanie has so many beautiful bags but I think I would have to go with the London backpack in brown!
