Ok, true story: I didn’t make it to the grocery store this weekend to do my weekly shop, so late Sunday night, on the way home from church, the hubster and I swung into our local Wal-mart and I grabbed Kraft Recipe Makers Hickory BBQ Beef and a two-pound hunk of meat so I could fix a quick and easy meal the next night for dinner.

Early Monday morning, I threw that hunk in the slow cooker (no, not my hubby, the other hunk), and poured the Brown Sugar & Cidar Vinegar Simmer Sauce on top, set that bad boy to cook on low for about nine hours, then headed out the door to work, smiling inside because I knew I’d have a scrumptious family meal waiting for me when I got home.
So, I work. All day. And I forget about dinner. Then I leave work, pick up my kid, stop by the store to pick up a pair of dress shoes and tights for a musical at school in two days that we just found out about, and she has to have black dress shoes, so we had to go get black dress shoes! Then there’s homework to think about, and….Oh my gosh! Dinner!
Mondays are usually rushed. I didn’t even want to think about dinner tonight. I was so happy when I walked in the door and smelled the lovely aroma of dinner in the slow cooker, and remembered that, thanks to Kraft Recipe Makers, dinner was done!
And not only was it done, it was delicious! You seriously have got to try this at home, folks. Check it:

Pick up a box of Kraft Recipe Makers Hickory BBQ Beef and a 2 – 2 1/2 lb. boneless beef chuck roast.

In every package of Kraft Recipe Makers, you get a Simmer Sauce and a Finishing Sauce. For the Hickory BBQ Beef, you get a Brown Sugar & Cidar Vinegar Simmer Sauce and a Sweet Hickory BBQ Finishing Sauce.

Put your chuck roast into the slow cooker and cover in Simmer Sauce. Cook on LOW for 8-10 hours.

This is what it will look like after it’s been slow cooking in that awesome sauce all day.

Take the meat out of the slow cooker and use a couple of forks to shred the meat. It’s so tender it literally falls apart when you try to pick it up. Pour all of the Simmer Sauce out of the slow cooker and return the shredded meat to the slow cooker.

Pour the Sweet Hickory BBQ Finishing Sauce onto the shredded beef and stir it up. Cook 15 minutes on HIGH, then…

…EAT! This is so, so good y’all, seriously. I paired my pulled beef sandwich with brown sugar baked beans and sweet tea.
Family Reviews: “This is AWESOME mom!” says Marley. “Delicious!” says Mark (with his mouth full of yummy beef).
