So, I know a lot of people are waiting anxiously for the release of the new line of Project Life albums from Becky Higgins LLC. I’m one of them – can’t wait! I first discovered Project Life in January of this year, so I ordered one to keep up with my 2011 pictures. The idea sparked some creativity in me, though, and I decided to do something similar with my 2010 photos.

I bought a super cute photo album and a “Family” sticker:
I got some seasonal scrapbook paper, stickers, and all my other goodies together:
Marley made the cover 🙂
Then I started putting all of my picturees in the book, leaving a space open for each event so I could insert a notecard to document the event.
Finally, I started making mini-scrapbook pages to go in the empty slots showing the name of the event and the date, and anything else I wanted to include. Here are some of my pages:
There you have it! Simple, yet really stinkin’ cute family album! I’ve flipped through this album so many times, and I absolutely love it. (By the way, if you’re wondering what “BYOP” stands for in the picture above, it means “Bring Your Own Pumpkin” – we have a party every year to carve pumpkins!)
Finally, I have some rather big plans for my craft room this weekend, so I probably will take tomorrow off from posting. I’m thinking about opening an Etsy store (YAY!) so I’ve got to start on some inventory, as well. Busy, busy!
Have a great day!

This scrapbook looks so easy to put together and cute too! Did you use the Becky Higgins products for the pages you show here or did you just diy and buy the plastic pockets from the craft store? I’m inspired to start a book for my family!
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this album. I look through it all the time. I bought the album with a lot of pages already in it at Michael’s. I had to buy a lot of refill pages so I could do an entire year in one album.
I made this for 2010 as I was waiting on my Project Life kit to use for 2011, so it’s all DIY. No Becky Higgins products.
if you make one, send pics! I’d love to see how yours turns out 🙂
