After we finished our kitchen remodel, my daughter joked that I’ll spend more time cleaning the kitchen than cooking in it. She was right, but not because it’s constantly dirty – just because it’s so pretty, that I’m obsessed with keeping it spotless! Today I’m sharing my go-to supplies for a clean kitchen, and sharing tips for keeping it clean without a lot of effort.
The old version of our kitchen constantly felt dirty and dingy, simply because it was dark – dark cabinets, dark linoleum countertops, dark brown granite sink, and the lighting was horrible, too, which didn’t help.
When we remodeled, we swapped out the linoleum for gorgeous white & grey granite, so I had to learn how to keep granite clean. We also swapped out our dark brown sink for a white one. In case you missed the memo, we’re sweet tea drinkers, and tea poured into a white sink can stain, so I had to figure out how to keep the sink clean, too!
MY GO-TO SUPPLIES FOR A CLEAN KITCHEN
I’ve tried quite a few cleansers, and have finally found a set of cleansers that work perfectly for the jobs I need done. Here’s my list of cleansers and what I use them for. The links to purchase these products through Amazon are my affiliate links. {You can read my full disclosure here.}
#1: Method Daily Granite
This is my favorite cleaner ever! I use this every day or two on all of my granite countertops and it leaves them super clean and reflective like glass. I clear off the countertops, spray the cleanser, and wipe it up with a paper towel. BUY IT HERE: Method Daily Granite Cleaner
#2: Bar Keeper’s Friend Spray + Foam Cleaner
We have a white granite sink, which I love, but to keep it nice and white, I clean it with Bar Keeper’s Friend Spray + Foam Cleaner. After a couple days of rinsing dishes with food on them, or glasses with tea left in them, the granite can become a bit dingy, so I spray the foam, let it sit for about 30 seconds or so, then scrub with a non-abrasive sponge. #3: Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner
This is the cleaner I reach for when there are little spills or spots to clean up, like cleaning the stove top after cooking. It even smells good, like a fresh clean, not a chemical clean. BUY IT HERE: Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner
This is also what I use as the first step in cleaning my stainless steel fridge. I give it a good clean with Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day using a microfiber cloth (that’s the key to a streak-free shine!), and scrub any spots or food spills. Then I finish cleaning my fridge with #4 on the list…
#4: Pledge Dust & Allergen
After I clean the fridge with Meyer’s Clean Day, I grab a clean microfiber cloth and give it a good polish with Pledge. It’s super shiny!
I also use Pledge Dust & Allergen and a microfiber cloth to wipe down my navy blue lower cabinets and inside my white upper cabinets. BUY IT HERE: Pledge Dust & Allergen

HOW TO CLEAN THE MICROWAVE
Leave it to Joanna Gaines to provide a really simple & effective method for cleaning the microwave! I have scrubbed and scrubbed and could not get our microwave truly clean until I used Joanna’s method that I read about in the spring 2017 issue of The Magnolia Journal.
This cleaning method works like a dream! Baked on crud that wouldn’t come out even with the use of bleach cleansers wiped right off with a paper towel. And it’s stayed clean, almost like it repels food.
So there you have it, my go-to supplies for a clean kitchen. Do you have anything to add? What supplies do you absolutely love?
