Hey people! I’m Savannah, one of my mom’s furbabies, and I’m hijacking her blog today to show you something really yummy that she made for me and my sisters! Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and you should make this #TreatThePups Doggy Valentine Ice Cream for your furbabies, too! Mom calls me her “Sue chef” or something like that because I like to help in the kitchen, so let me take you into our kitchen and show you how mom made these tasty treats!
Mom & dad love me and my sisters, Dakota and Daisy, and we get spoiled all the time. I love to curl up on the couch and put my head in mom’s lap. She gives the best belly rubs, too! Dad carries my sister Dakota up the stairs sometimes for bedtime when her hips hurt too much, and we get really comfy beds to sleep in, too. Daisy was adopted. She is shorter than me and Dakota and drools a lot more, but she’s OK I guess. Mom & dad seem to like her.
That’s me, Savannah, on the right and my sister Dakota on the left up there. I guess I should show you a picture of Daisy, too.
There she is – see? She doesn’t look like us, but mom thinks she’s cute.
Ok, let’s go to the kitchen. Mom’s just getting started making our ice cream.
First, she put this white stuff in a big bowl. I think she said it was yogurt. It smelled good, though.
Then she cracked an egg in there. Dad scrambles these on the weekends and puts cheese in them, and they’re really good.
My favorite thing went next – peanut butter! Sometimes me & my sisters get to lick the spoon when mom or dad make sandwiches with this stuff!
Then mom put some honey in the bowl. We get honey mixed into our dog food every morning. {Don’t tell mom, but we pretend we don’t like our dog food so she’ll keep putting honey on it, but it’s really just because we really like honey! The food tastes fine without it, though.}
Mom sprinkled bacon bits on top, too! My mouth was watering all over the floor so mom had to wipe my mouth with a paper towel. I hate that!
My sister Dakota came over to see what was going on in the kitchen. I think she smelled the bacon and peanut butter, but mom said we couldn’t have any yet.
After she mixed up the ice cream stuff, she let me lick the spoon! It was so good y’all! I even got it on my nose!
Dakota came over and got to lick the spoon, too. She told me it was the tastiest stuff she’s ever had.
Mom put our ice cream in a pan, then let it sit in the freezer for a few hours. It looked super yummy when she pulled it out. Then she went to the pantry and brought out some new treats! I can’t read, but mom said they are Milo’s Kitchen Grilled Burger Bites. I know when dad makes burgers, and we get to taste them, they’re really good, so these Milo’s Kitchen things sounded awesome!
Mom put some of the ice cream in between two of those grilled burger bites to make ice cream sandwiches! We already love Milkbone Treats – we get those everyday! But these ice cream sandwiches looked so delicious we couldn’t wait to try them!
Me & Dakota ate ours so fast mom couldn’t get a picture. Daisy is a little slower….with everything she does…I mean, soooo…..slooooowwww…. But she liked the ice cream sandwiches, too.
Mom said that, for a “sometimes” treat, she’ll even make ice cream sundaes for us with those burger bites on the side like cookies. I can’t wait for that!
Uh-oh, mom’s coming back. I gotta go! Go get some Milo’s Kitchen & Milkbone treats for your furbabies! You can get them at this place called Wal-mart. It must be magical because every time mom & dad go there, they come home with treats and dog food for us. I sure wish I could go!
Visit Milkbone, Milo’s Kitchen, and Pup-Peroni on Facebook, too!
Remember to pin it so you don’t forget to make these for your furbabies!
